Our school stands in beautiful grounds, overlooking Castle Hill and we work hard to provide a happy, stimulating and caring environment in which all children are valued.
Building an exciting, creative and meaningful curriculum which equips learners for all stages of their education and beyond is central to our vision, as is our intention that all children will reach their full potential during their time with us.

I am delighted to welcome you to Newsome Junior Academy on behalf of the children, staff and Governing Body.
We are all passionate about making a difference and aim to inspire our children to become confident, resilient and enthusiastic learners. Our key values are at the heart of our provision: challenge, perseverance, pursuing success, respect, responsibility, courage and kindness and, as part of Impact Multi-Academy Trust, we work hard to create an inclusive environment where hearts and minds connect.
We place great importance upon working in partnership with parents and carers and are committed to building strong links within the community.

We opened school for prospective families to come in and have a look around. We had lots of visitors and it was a positive morning- my favourite comment was from a child who isn’t from this area who said “This is the best school I’ve ever been in, I definitely want to come here!”
🧁 Coffee Morning 🧁
Thank you so much to everyone who donated, attended or helped at our coffee morning. It was the busiest we’ve ever seen and we are already thinking about having extra stations for next year so we don’t have a queue the whole way around the hall! 😂
School Councillors were out in the local community distributing flyers for our upcoming open morning. They popped in to all of the local businesses that were open and displayed our flyers. Representing school beautifully with impeccable manners and super teamwork!
